The TekStar LED Sign
The TekStar is an LED sign for organizations wanting a dynamic presence on a budget! Displays are available in shaded red or vibrant full color. The seamless, single-piece face of virtually unbreakable Makrolon SL® covers both the sign graphics and LED display. This unitized construction resists vandalism and prevents weather intrusion.
Schedule messages with ease on the provided software. Connect directly with your sign via a network connection, or upload your message with a USB drive. With video clips, graphics, display effects and transitions, your sign will attract interest and attention for years to come. The ability to display the current date, time and temperature allows you to serve the community.

Versatile Displays
Scheduling software allows you to display messages on certain days and times. All messages and schedules are stored onboard the sign, preventing computer and power problems from affecting your display. Communication with the sign can be achieved with a standard computer network connection, or by placing your messages on a USB drive and uploading it to the display.
Video & Graphics Capabilities
In addition to text, your TekStar LED display can show your own video clips, animations and still images. Attract even more attention with an array of special effects for transitioning frames on and off the display. Create interest and movement designed to draw the eye to your message!
Time & Temperature
Serve your community while delivering your message! The current time, date and temperature can be displayed at any point and embedded with your own text or graphics. Temperature is derived from the included temperature probe attached to the sign. Time and date are derived from the internal clock with battery, and does not have to be reset in the event of a power-outage.
Adjustable Brightness & Scheduled Dimming
Your TekStar display is capable of automatic or manually set brightness; allowing you to tailor the display to the light levels and unique circumstances of your location. A light meter can adjust the display brightness automatically to ambient light conditions. If using the manual setting, different brightness levels can be set for daytime and nighttime use. Your display can even be set to turn off and back on at certain times.
Graphics Library
With your purchase of a TekStar you also receive unlimited lifetime access to our LED Graphics Library. Our online library is stocked with hundreds of video clips, graphics and animations for your display. Save time and increase your sign's visibility by using our stock graphics for holidays and special events!
Multi-Language Support
Broaden your reach by communicating in different languages! Special characters such as ñ and é that are accessible through your Windows® character map are available for use on your display.
Security & Peace of Mind
Password protected software means that only authorized users can change the sign, even if your computer is in a shared or non-secure location.

Communication Methods
With a Stewart TekStar, you use a computer to create a file containing text, images and video clips, as well as scheduling when and how they appear. This file can be downloaded to a USB drive and plugged into your sign. In addition, you may optionally communicate with the sign instantly through a network connection.
The following factors are important when deciding on a communication method:
- The distance between your sign site and your computer or network
- The possibility of trenching or burying data cables
- The desire and/or ability to control the sign from one or multiple computers
- The speed and reliability of the connection
- The potential for additional costs associated with your chosen communication method

Trim Options
Enhance the profile of your sign and complement your architecture with one of our trim options.
Trim pieces utilize the same rust-proof aluminum and DuPont™ powder-coat finish as the rest of the sign cabinet.
Mounting Options
Our mounting options range from free-standing to wall and masonry mounted signs.
Our most popular mount, the Pedestal, gives your sign a more substantial and professional appearance.

Add text, images and video clips with ease. A virtually unlimited number of items can be added to your display! Use your own image and video files, or download them from our graphics library.
Image File Formats Supported: BMP, JPG, PNG, and TIF.

Choose from multiple transition effects to bring items on and off of the display, and control the speed of the effect. Add the current date and time in multiple formats. The current temperature can be displayed in Fahrenheit or Celsius. Schedule frames to appear daily at certain times, or monthly on certain days and times. |
