Honoring a Loved One at North East Church of God
There are many ways the people choose to honor the memory of their loved ones. We recently received a touching note from a customer who chose to have a church sign made in her husband’s memory. After some soul searching and careful consideration she chose Stewart Signs. Below she explains her journey. A touching story that deserved to be shared
Here is her story:
When I decided to have a church sign made in my husband Freddie’s memory I had no idea where to start. I drove around the county looking at signs but nothing was what “I” wanted to honor a man who was so special to many people. I came across information that pointed me in the direction of Stewart Signs and had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Jack Howard. I explained (through many tears) what I wanted and how important this was to me. With compassion, he expressed his sympathy and asked to pray with me. How amazing is that?! This spoke volumes to me and I knew this was right where I needed to be. We exchanged ideas and Mr. Howard and his team put together a sign that was absolutely perfect for little church. Anyone that knows me knows I’m very particular and I want what I want. Not one change was needed. I absolutely LOVED it at first sight!
Next big challenge was to raise the money! I knew this would be a BIG task, however, I had no doubt that with God all things are possible AND my amazing Family and Friends would rise to the challenge and help me do this. In my mind, I was building expectations that if this could be done by the end of Summer I would be so super excited!! But ……God had better plans.
With the money our fundraisers generated and the generous donations that we received from many people, this project was completed from start to finish within two months! The project was presented to the church on February 21st and the sign was delivered April 14th. Isn’t that awesome?! God is good!
I’ve never personally met Mr. Howard but I feel like we have a special friendship. I thank God for him. He was so patient and kind in helping me complete something so near and dear to my heart. I know Freddie would have been so proud Mr. Howard!! Thank you and God Bless!!
